Do I need to know how to swim to try scuba diving?

No. Our PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme and Try Dive accommodate non-swimmers with 1:1 instruction, so absolute beginners can experience the underwater world safely.

What are the age limits for diving?

Accepted Answer

The minimum age is 12 years. There is a maximum age of 50 years, above which a medical clearance from a physician is required. For Discover Scuba Diving the maximum age is 60 as per Andaman regulations.

How deep will I go?

Accepted Answer

Discover Scuba Diving is limited to a maximum of 12 metres, Open Water divers to 18 metres, Advanced Open Water divers to 30 metres, and recreational diving to a maximum of 40 metres.

Do I need to be fit to scuba dive?

Accepted Answer

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Individuals with chronic health conditions, certain medications, or recent surgery may need physician approval before diving. Please review the Diver Medical form beforehand. Instructors, divemasters and dive-shop staff are not physicians and cannot give medical advice — only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive. Self-authorisation for medical clearance is not permitted.

How long does the Open Water certification take?

The PADI Open Water Diver course takes three to four days to complete, including classroom (or eLearning), confined-water and open-water dives.

Activities begin at 05:00 AM IST.

How do I receive my dive photos and videos?

Accepted Answer

Your photos and videos are shared after the dive via a cloud link with a 7-day expiry. Please bring an Android phone or a 3–4 GB pen drive to collect your media.

What is the best season and water temperature?

Accepted Answer

The best diving season starts in October or November and extends until May. Water temperature stays around 80–84°F (27–29°C).

Question 9

What equipment is provided?

Accepted Answer

We provide mask, fins, snorkel, wetsuit, BCD and regulator. Please bring a towel for your post-dive shower.
